GSLA Fitness & training
The aim of this 3 hour workshop is for sports coaches to be able to identify the fitness demands of their sport (individual positions where appropriate) and to be able to devise or advise on training sessions to develop fitness for their sport.
This module includes:
- Coaches will identify the relative importance of the different components of fitness for their sport.
- Coaches will select appropriate training methods to develop the components of fitness needed for their sport.
- Coaches will look at the different energy systems and how they are used in various sports.
- Coaches will work together to construct a training session through application of the main training principles.
