World Athletics Day is held annually to promote athletics at school level from year 4-7 Middle School and year 8 Secondary School.
Once again, IAAF World Athletics Day reached all continents around the world with more than 100 member federations taking part.
St Lucia, Pakistan, Monaco, Australia, Kenya, Hong Kong, Bermuda and Italy are just some of the 117 nations that are holding activities and competitions for young athletes.
This event is very well attended locally and originally a IAAF idea and organised by G.A.A.A .
Senior events will also be included .
Assembly will be at 5.30pm at The Bayside Sports Complex, with activities commencing at 6pm. A medal ceremony presentation will be held during the evening.
