The GSLA would like to send their best wishes to all of Gibraltars Hockey Teams competing both locally and abroad during their European Cup Competitions.
Grammarians HC have travelled to Konya, Turkey to participate in the EuroHockey Club Challenge I where they have been drawn in Pool B and will initially face opposition from Italy, Turkey and Hungary.
Europa FC Womens Hockey Club have also travelled and will be in Brzeziny, Poland this coming weekend for the EuroHockey Club Challenge II Women 2024. They will face teams from Croatia, Turkey, and Sweden in the group stage.
Eagles HC will be hosting the EuroHockey Club Challenge II at the Bayside Sports Complex, Hockey Pitches. Facing opposition from Malta, Hungary, and Norway they hope to emulate their recent successes as hosts which has catapulted Gibraltar into Challenge I.
The GSLA are proud to support four members of staff who will be taking part in the local event. Mr Brian Buckley who will be acting as the tournaments Local Judge, Mr Gareth Henwood, Mr Thomas Silva and Mr Jobim Torres who will be competing in the tournament as players. We wish you all the very best and invite our community to come down to the Bayside Complex Hockey Pitch to support and enjoy an exciting weekend of Hockey.
