The turn of the year has seen all aspects of the Island Games organisation gain momentum and none more so than the new sports facilities. The complexes at Europa and Lathbury are on track to be ready before for the Games allowing local athletes and officials the opportunity to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings. Likewise, both the Rifle and Clay ranges have seen major advancements in recent weeks and will provide top class facilities for shooters. Whilst not involved directly as a sporting venue for the games the Special Olympics Hall should be the first facility to be ready adding another Sports Hall to those already available to the local community.
